Cold storage &
land-based freezing
AFE built a state of the art 3600 tonne cold storage facility at its
Windsor Avenue site in Port Lincoln to store frozen Sardines and trawl
fish.
The cold store has 6 rooms that each have the capacity to hold 560
pallets of frozen fish.
This facility includes a plate freezing room that is used to freeze some
of our pilchard catch. The frozen product is stored in our cold store
until it is fed to the tuna.
